Tenamyd Pharmaceutical Corporation (Tenamyd) is a pharmaceutical company with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in the manufacturing of sterile Cephalosporin powder for injection, meeting the stringent requirements of both the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Drug Administration of Viet Nam (DAV) - Ministry of Health. In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, Tenamyd also distributes a wide range of high-quality generic medicines that comply with EU-GMP and WHO-GMP standards. The company has also expanded into the development and supply of dietary supplements, aiming to meet the growing demand for health care and disease prevention among the Vietnamese population. Several of Tenamyd’s flagship products have earned the trust of consumers nationwide, including Emanera 20 & 40, Medofalexin 500, Mofen 400, Rhumenol Flu, and Vomina 50.
1957 - 1972
Founded Tenamyd's pharmaceutical manufacturing factory in Sai Gon City
In 1957, after graduating from the Sai Gon University of Pharmacy, young pharmacist Bui Binh Nam returned to Can Tho to open his first pharmacy, followed by the establishment of an powder for injection manufacturing line produced many well-known products that served the healthcare needs of the local population and were also exported to countries around the world. This marked the beginning of what is now Tenamyd Pharmaceutical Corporation.
1993
Reinvestment in Vietnam and establishment of Tenamyd
Bringing with him international experience and a deep commitment to developing the domestic pharmaceutical industry, Pharmacist Bui Dinh Nam and his family decided to reinvest in Viet Nam to research and develop high-quality pharmaceutical products to meet the needs of the Vietnamese market. Among the well-known products are Mofen, Rhumenol, Parnatel, Astymin Liquid, and Astymin Fort, etc.
Alongside product development, he was also a pioneer in transferring and licensing pharmaceutical formulations to domestic manufacturing plants that met WHO-GMP standards, such as Mebiphar, Medipharco, and Mekophar.
1998
Collaboration in research, manufacturing, and supply of cosmetic products
Continuously innovating and expanding its areas of operation, Tenamyd has partnered with Cosmax — one of the world's largest OEM manufacturers — along with Ventech International to research and develop lines of cosmetics imported from South Korea. This collaboration reflects Tenamyd’s strategic direction in elevating health and beauty care for Vietnamese consumers.
2002
Strengthening the development of distribution systems and product portfolio
Tenamyd đã tận dụng lợi thế từ mạng lưới phân phối rộng khắp của mình để mở rộng sang lĩnh vực thực phẩm bảo vệ sức khỏe, với sản phẩm đầu tiên là Calcibone – được phát triển dưới hai dạng bào chế: viên nén bao phim và dung dịch uống đóng ống.
Each Calcibone product is enriched with essential calcium and vitamins, meeting consumers' daily micronutrient intake needs and contributing to overall health support.
2007
Establishment of Tenamyd Pharmaceutical Corporation
With all talent and dedication, Pharmacist Bui Dinh Nam founded Tenamyd Pharmaceutical Corporation and laid the first foundation stones for the construction of a manufacturing factory of Cephalosporin powder for injection.
2013
Manufacturing line of Cephalosporin powder for injection meets WHO-GMP standard
Under the leadership of Pharmacist Bui Dinh Nam and a team of highly experienced professionals, Tenamyd inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing line of Cephalosporin powder for injection, equipped with advanced machinery imported from Cozzoli (USA).
This manufacturing line was officially certified as meeting WHO-GMP standards in 2013 by the Drug Administration of Viet Nam (DAV) - Ministry of Health, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey to enhance its manufacturing capacity and product quality.
2015
Manufacturing line of Cephalosporin powder for injection meets EU-GMP standard
With relentless efforts toward further development and success, Tenamyd has completed another manufacturing line of Cephalosporin powder for injection that meets EU-GMP standard, certified by the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic.
This achievement has made Tenamyd the first company in Viet Nam to have a manufacturing line of Cephalosporin powder for injection that meets European standard.
2015 - 2023
Meeting and maintaining the strict standards of EU-GMP and WHO-GMP
With a strong commitment to preserving its achievements and maintaining product quality, Tenamyd’s manufacturing factory of Cephalosporin powder for injection has been successfully inspected and certified three consecutive times as meeting EU-GMP standard by the Bulgaria Drug Agency, Europe. At the same time, Tenamyd has also received WHO-GMP certification three times in a row from the Drug Administration of Viet Nam - Ministry of Health.
